Volunteer

The Éco-quartier program is unable to function without the support of a network of collaborators and dedicated volunteers. In 2005, the CRABE organization worked with 36 volunteers who put in a total of 1825 hours! Our volunteers contribute greatly to improving the Montreal environment. They find that volunteering is an excellent way to meet other engaged citizens and enhance the quality of life in their community.

There are many ways to get involved:

• Implementation of the recycling program: going door-to-door in apartment buildings
• Education and raising public awareness: planning conferences, workshops and assisting at kiosks
• Urban renewal: participate in community clean-up campaigns
• Administrative support: editing, translation, and revision of text
• Create and manage your own project! We have several volunteers who have created their own projects on different subjects, such as the promotion of reusable diapers, a waste-reduction project, and the installation of a sugar shack in Saint Laurent.
